The Fiction Kitchen Genesis:

With an educational background in social work and a long term career in the corporate I.T. field, Caroline Morrison finally realized her true passion was cooking. She then decided to go back to school and entered the Wake Tech Culinary Program where she was an honor student and one of only six students chosen to participate in a 3-week work study program in France. Since graduating from Wake Tech, she has been a line cook in several area restaurants and helped them develop vegan and vegetarian recipes to add to their menus. She was also recently interviewed by the News and Observer, which publicized one of her original vegan recipes.

Caroline’s business and life partner, Siobhan Southern, has an extensive background in the areas of breads and baked goods, and has been working in the food industry over 15 years. Equally passionate about cooking and seeing a lack of vegan and vegetarian options for diners in the Triangle area, Siobhan plans to be side by side with Caroline as they fulfill their dreams of opening a vegetarian restaurant. Together, under the name “The Fiction Kitchen,” they are committed to serving delicious vegetarian food prepared with with thoughtful presentation, designed both to delight and fool the palates of vegetarians and carnivores alike!
